"Waikato Bay"

It was New Years Day and Madi was in the Far North of New Zealand for the holidays. She went with her family to a beach in Waikato Bay. Madi thought why not take her art supplies with her. Madi set up her makeshift studio under the only tree on the beach. 

The rolling hills were what caught Madi's eyes as soon as she got onto the beach. Using the paint colours she had and a new painting technique to her to get as much texture she could with just paint. Her original idea was to have a beach curving around the side of the canvas - underneath some the paint you will find some of the sand from the beach.
