"Mt Ruapehu at Winter Sunset"

Mt Ruapehu at Winter Sunset is the 2nd installment of the Snowy Mountain Collection.

Mt Ruapehu covered in snow at Sunset. Mt Ruapehu has been made the feature of this artwork, it stands out from the canvas using modeling paste to create lots of texture and dimension. Using a special paint mixture to create a grainy snowy look. The sunset has been painted a pinky purple to complement the snowy cold day and shows that dusk is slowing falling. With a simple foreground created so that the mountain can stay the feature. 

The Snowy Mountain Collection is a collective of paintings inspired by fabulous winter wonderland landscapes. The collection has begun with New Zealand Mountains being the focus however Madi has the aim to go world wide and paint the snowy points from all over the world!
